Counseling for those with Disability or Chronic Illness

I specialize in disability and chronic illness because of my personal experience and passion about this topic.

As a brain cancer survivor I understand the many ways a devastating diagnosis disrupts the individual’s life and the lives of those around them.  My personal diagnosis of “terminal brain cancer” resulted in my physical disabilities that include partial paralysis and blindness.

I spent many years receiving  rehabilitation services to learn to compensate for the physical and emotional changes that occurred as a result of my diagnosis and disability.  Based on these experiences I chose my degree in rehabilitation counseling and became a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC https://crccertification.com/crc-certification/)

Through continuing education and work experience I received extensive training in the areas of blindness, brain injury and other neurological disorders

Thus my experience and professional background make  me an ideal candidate to help those who are struggling with these issues.
